SWAMI YOGANANDA 105 YEARS (THE FOUNDER)
Hatha Yoga Rishikesh Teacher Training Center was established in 1999 by world-famous – The Great Himalayan Yogi Swami Yogananda Maharaj Guruji who achieved Maha Samadhi on 3rd Jan 2015 when he was 105 years. Our founder was alive for 105 years and he had 85 years of yoga experience in India and all over the world about 64 countries abroad. Swami Yogananda is world famous for his Sukshamvyayam Yoga about inner body cleansing deep into our nerves systems. He teaches `Sukshamvyayam Yoga in Om Shanti Om Yoga School every Sunday without fail until his last breath. He taught his last class on 17th Dec 2014. To this moment, his classes were enjoyed and benefitted by thousands of students all over the world.
Guruji Yogananda taught us a lot about how to stay healthy and live longer life without any sickness and medication. That’s all about his secret diet and his self made traditional medicine. He will always stays in our memories and his students all over the world. We miss such a great Yogi…!
THE LOCATION
Our Yoga Ashram is located in Ram Jhula, Jonk Village, Rishikesh, India belongs to Uttrakhand state in the range of the Himalayas. This residential Ashram is surrounded by mountains and the nearby Ganges in such a tranquil atmosphere away from roaring stressful cities. Rather, Rishikesh is one of the most well-known spiritual lands at the foot of the Himalayan mountains snuggled alone the banks of the sacred Ganges River known as the “Capital of Yoga”, around the globe.
Rishikesh is a Holy city where frequently visited by ‘Yatris’ or pilgrims from all over India and tourists from all over the world. She is an incredible place to experience authentic Traditional Indian yoga and meditation culturally and respectfully. It is a bit calmer than other parts of India. Our Yoga Studio is situated close to the Holy River Ganges and has green mountain views which always soothe tired eyes. The environment here always brings a peaceful feeling as well as awakening spiritual energy to everyone who touched this soil.
For the sake of tourist convenience, daily needs shops are available here such, as juice shops, clothes, restaurants, hotels, handmade products, café corners, Ayurvedic Massage centers, Cyber Café, Rafting, Trekking, Travel agencies, money changers or more.
Hatha Yoga Rishikesh is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga school located in Rishikesh, India, offering 100-hour, 200-hour, 300-hour, and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs. These programs cover traditional Hatha and Ashtanga yoga styles, as well as meditation, pranayama, and yoga philosophy. The school provides accommodation and meals for students, and graduates receive internationally recognized yoga teacher certifications.
